Dr. Diana Jones, DVM, MVSc, MA

Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons

The surgeon, Dr. Diana Jones, received her DVM degree from the University of Georgia in 1986. She worked in busy practices in West Virginia and Florida for two years before moving to Canada to pursue a three-year surgical residency program. At the University of Saskatchewan, she received a master’s degree and the Outstanding Resident Award. Her arthroscopy research proved the joint lining can heal. From 1991-1995, Dr. Jones was a faculty member and Chief of Service at Mississippi State University. In 1994, Dr. Jones achieved board certification in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Since 1995, Dr. Jones has worked with several board-certified surgeons in San Diego and Orange counties.

As a forward-thinking and experienced Hospital Manager, I am deeply committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment at PETSURG & ER4PETS, our specialized veterinary surgery and emergency practice located in San Diego, California. My journey in veterinary management began with a renowned program through Silkin Management, where I honed essential leadership skills in communication, business management, and staff development. My goal has always been to cultivate an atmosphere where every individual feels valued and empowered.
At PETSURG & ER4PETS, I work closely with Dr. Diana Jones, DVM, MVSc, MA, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Together, we lead a dedicated team focused on emergency veterinary care and tackling complex orthopedic and soft tissue surgical challenges. My role involves ensuring that our veterinary staff collaborates seamlessly towards shared objectives, enhancing both team morale and the quality of our medical practices.
I am passionate about continuous professional development, advocating for advanced training and hands-on experience with intricate surgical cases. By integrating innovative techniques into our daily operations, I aim to create an environment that prioritizes open communication and team building.
